My name is Emily Bey, and I graduated from MPHS in 2014. I was president of the AWSUM club my junior and senior year, and a club member for my first two years. I was also a member of the Women’s Track Team, Football Team Manager, Student Council, and Beta Club. During my time at MPHS I helped to organize King of the Court tournaments, participated in and organized Walks for JDRF, and worked at the speedway for fundraising. My senior year I started a fundraiser for a MPHS alum who had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. With help from AWSUM Club and the Mount Pleasant Community, we raised approximately $6,000 for him and his family. He is now cancer free!! After graduation I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and double majored in Psychology and Sociology. I was a member of the UNCC Women’s Track Team for two years. I graduated in 2017 Cum Laude. I am currently working on my Master’s in school counseling, while also working at Northwest Cabarrus Middle School as an Administrative Assistant. I am excited to be apart of such an amazing community and looking forward to helping those in need!

I manage all aspects of the business as well as market the business in an effort to continue growing the practice. Still an athlete! Compete in the Women's Physique division of the NPC with hopes of becoming a professional in the sport! My passion is lifting weights to become a healthier individual so in my free time I love helping as many people as I can become stronger, healthier and more confident in their own skin!

Hey, my name is Amanda Miller and I proudly served as both the Vice President and President of AWSUM Club while a student-athlete at Mt. Pleasant High School before graduating in 2009. After graduating from UNC-Wilmington in December of 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, I decided to stay in Wilmington, NC. I worked for a grass roots non-profit organization, Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry, Inc. and continued my career in event planning with South East Area Health Education Center (SEAHEC) in Wilmington, NC, where I plan continuing education events for health care professionals throughout the state. Currently, I plan events with an international event planning company, Meetings and Incentives Worldwide, Inc. and enjoy helping my community. I am thankful for the opportunity to continue to giving back to the greater Mount Pleasant community as I did while in school and I'm very proud to be a member of this AWSUM Board!

Hi, My name is Courtney Edwards Wyatt, and I am the founder of the AWSUM Club and also the Chairman of the Board for AWSUM Communities and Schools. I have lived in Cabarrus County my entire life, and graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School in 2001. I then went to North Carolina State University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. I have 8 years experience in sales in the Banking Industry and have since become a full time Mom. Currently, I have a 7 year old and 2 year old, who keep me very busy. I spend my time making sure the kids are where they need to be, when they need to be there, with whatever they may need while they are there. From the beginning of the AWSUM Club and to this day, I enjoy helping others and giving back to my community. I am looking forward to continuing my work in the community!
